F.A.Q:
Q: What does a QC-er do?
A: They check edited works for grammar and editing mistakes.
Q:What do I need to do if I want to apply?
-If you want to apply as a grammar QC-er, check the file for grammar mistakes and correct any strange lines so that they flow more naturally. [I've realized how much of a PR's work this is so to make it a bit different] As a grammar QC-er you also have to look out for what the editing QC-er missed in edit.
-If you want to apply as an editing QC-er, check the file for any editing mistakes (such as dust, page rotation, fonts, font size...etc) and then suggest a solution (make the font size bigger or shrink them, rotate the page, redraw any part, etc). Edit QC-er also have a job to look out for whatever the grammar QC-er missed in grammar.
-If you want to apply as a general QC-er, you need to do both.
Q: How do I apply?
A: Here is the process:
1. Download the test and look through it. Use Microsoft Word or Notepad to type up your QC changes.
2. Upload your text file on any hosting site (Media fire, Rapidshare etc.)
3. Register an account on this forum.
4. Create a thread in the Recruitment Board. Name it something like "[Your name] QC-er". (E.g: [Aaa] Grammar QC, [Xyz] QC-er). Post the link to your work on your thread, and leave your e-mail address (or your Skype, AIM, or MSN username) so we can contact you in case you forget to come back and check the forum for a reply.
5. Now, just wait for the results. ^_^
Note: We currently only need experienced QC-ers who can cooperate and are committed to working with us for an extended period of time. (Because we've had many apply and then just disappear. -_-
