Hello everyone,
As you know, applications for proofreaders are now officially closed. I would like to say a big thank you to those who applied.
In order to be open and fair to all about the Proofreader Application process, here is an example of an appropriate proofread of the test we gave out. I know there is no ‘correct’ or ‘wrong’ proofread but the most important part of proofreading is that readers are able to read the text smoothly and easily, yet the proofreader may not change the meaning of the lines.
It disrupts the purpose of maximum authenticity in translation if the meaning of the text changes in any way during proofreading and of course double work for the translator and proofreader during script-cleaning. Which means you guys will have to wait even longer because of that, and we won’t want that, now do we?
Anyways, here’s the example:
If you’re still unhappy about your application results, PM me and I’ll PM you back with the notes made by our proofreader.
A note to those who got my rejection message: I’m sorry if I had came off too sarcastic or negative, I definitely didn’t mean anything by it! All I wanted to do is to put the message across as nicely as possible, guess it backfired on me. ;_;
I always feel sad when I have to send a rejection message to someone and that someone either disappears or never posts a comment on our forums ever again. I don’t want that to happen. So, sorry once again if I’ve hurt your feelings or pissed you off, but I really hope that you guys will still be active in our forums and download our releases.
Somehow, this is becoming an ‘I’m sorry we can’t be girlfriends/boyfriends but can we still be friends?’ speech. lol.
And yes, I got this proofreaded by our new proofreader LOL, I'm not afraid to voice out my 'incompetence' in the English Language =).

‘In this world, there is such a thing as "Conspiracies". But among conspiracies, there are those that seem exaggerated, that critics would say have a 99% possibility of being the result of an overactive imagination, or outright lies. Those are the type of silly fantasy books you can often find in bookshops, such as, "The Jewish Conspiracy Threatening Japan's Economy", or "A Super Conspiracy: Secret Communications Between Aliens and the CIA!".
Despite these examples, there are those of us who still remain interested in "Conspiracies." Conspiracy — that intolerable, yet sweet word. It causes us to lose restraint, to give in to its enticement.
Take, for example, "The Jewish Conspiracy", and the motives behind its creation. An author driven to write about a Jewish conspiracy must have harbored bitter thoughts like, "Why am I so poor?", "Why can't my life be more easygoing?", or "Why don't I have a girlfriend?". Their hearts and minds continuously oppressed by the world around them.’
